This is one of those bikes that feels intimidating until it clicks — and then it’s addictive Once you’re moving, the weight disappears and it becomes this incredibly responsive, powerful machine that just does exactly what you ask. It’s not a lazy ride — it wants your attention — but it gives back a lot in return Physically though, it’s a commitment. The height and weight are very real factors, especially for smaller riders. It’s not the kind of bike you casually hop on without thinking But if you’re confident and you want something that feels alive every time you ride… this delivers
What I loved
- The raw power and torque — it pulls hard at any RPM
- Feels like a true beast, but still manageable once moving
- Handles incredibly well despite the size
- Surprisingly forgiving for such a powerful bike
- Strong road presence — it looks as aggressive as it feels
- Huge range of aftermarket and KTM PowerParts to make it your own
What felt challenging
- Height — at 163 cm, it’s a serious stretch (tip-toe situation)
- Difficult to mount and manage at a standstill
- It’s a heavy bike — well balanced, but you feel it
- KTM requires you to really be on top of maintenance
- A lot of electronics — more things that can go wrong
- Key fob only (no manual backup) — if the battery dies, you’re stuck
- (pro tip: carry a spare button battery… learned the hard way)
